My Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Here’s the recipe, I hope you enjoy!


1/2 c Butter

1/2 c Brown Sugar

1/3 c Granulated Sugar

1/2 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Baking Soda

1/2 tsp Vanilla (I always measure with my heart)

1 Egg

1 1/2 c Flour

1 bag Chocolate Chips (I use Guittard, I personally think they’re the best!)


  • Preheat oven to 350°.

  • Cream 1/2 c Butter (melt in microwave for 20 seconds), 1/2 c Brown Sugar, and 1/3 c Granulated Sugar until combined.

  • Add in 1/2 tsp Salt, 1/2 tsp Baking Soda, 1/2 tsp Vanilla, and Egg.

  • Pour 1 1/2 c Flour into mixture, and stir only until combined.

  • Lastly, add in a bag of Chocolate Chips.

  • Scoop into balls using a medium cookie scoop, adding to a cookie sheet keeping them separated enough for when they’re baking.

  • Bake for 9-11 minutes, making sure not to overcook because they’ll continue to cook once out of the oven.

  • Let them cool, if you can handle waiting long enough.
